Heading off from the Walkers Point day-use area or Burrum Point camping area, you’ll be amazed by the ever-changing landscape along this hike.

The mosaic of wallum, melaleuca woodlands of swamp paperbarks and tea-trees, and towering stands of blue gums, scribbly gums and pink bloodwoods harbour a rich and varied birdlife that has to be seen (and heard!) to be believed.

Catch your breath at the seats along the way and take in the explosion of wildflowers in spring, and stunning landscapes all year round. The kids (and adults!) will love crossing the old timber railway bridge—all that remains of the tramline that carried timber to the Maryborough sawmill.
