You need to be an experienced walker with the appropriate hiking equipment and basic navigational skills to walk to this remote camp site.

Shrouded in rainforest and 1,000m above sea level, the camp site sits at the top of the Albert and Tweed river catchments, at the southern end of the Albert River circuit. The site has limited protection in windy weather.

Walk 300m to the nearby Echo Point lookout for stunning views to the valley floor and across to Mount Warning and the mouth of the Tweed River on the coast. Early risers can watch the sun peek over the horizon as the mountains are drenched in the first rays of dawn.

This park is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, famed for its ongoing geological processes, evolutionary history, and diversity (especially of rare, threatened and endemic species).
